How much is an Alarm system?

We can install a basic alarm for around $999.  This would include 3 motion detectors and a phone app. As all our pricing is on this website, please check our packages for exact pricing.

Can I get a phone app for my alarm?

Over the last few years, virtually all alarm manufacturers have released a phone app that you can use to arm/disarm your alarm and get event notifications.  Some are much better than others so be sure to check with us if this is important to you.

Do I need a phone line for an alarm?

A phone line is not required for your alarm to work.  However, if you would like to use a phone app or have your alarm professionally monitored, we would require either an internet or SIM card connection.  We can assist with both of these solutions.

I'm renting a property, what alarm can use?

We would suggest one of our wireless alarm systems.  These simply plug into a power point within your property.  As all devices have no cabling, they can be easily removed and replaced if required.  Remote connections can be made via your WiFi network.

Will my pets set off my alarm?

If you have pets that you want to leave inside while your alarm is on, we would suggest using our pet-friendly motion detectors. These are typically rated in KGS based on the weight of your pet. The other option is to use perimeter devices rather than motion detectors.

Can I arm my alarm while I'm at home sleeping?

Yes, you can. We can either section off parts of your home that are secured or bypassed at night or add perimeter devices to your doors and windows.

I live in a 2 storey house, can you still install an alarm?

In Queensland, most 2 storey homes have a concrete slab between the ground and 1st floors levels. This makes cabling virtually impossible after the construction is completed.   The solution is to either prewire during the construction stage or simply install one of our wireless security alarm systems.

What is best brand of alarm?

These days, most alarm manufacturers are producing high-quality alarm systems.   Hills and Bosch are well-known alarm brands that have been installed in Queensland for over 20 years. However, Brands such as Risco and Hikivsion have new and innovative features the older brands lack and offer outstanding value when compared to the older brands.
